Brothers Autism Social Enterprise (BASE) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) — a specialised form of UK limited company created for organisations that exist to benefit the community. We trade as a social enterprise, meaning we operate professionally and sustainably, but the majority of our income is reinvested back into our mission, not for private gain.

As a mission-driven organisation, BASE delivers services that create real-world impact for autistic and neurodivergent people across Northern Ireland. Our focus is on autism-informed support, inclusion, belonging, mental wellbeing, and community participation, alongside high-quality external training that helps workplaces and services better understand and support neurodivergent individuals.

We also align strongly with Social Value in Northern Ireland — the principle that investment and public spending should create wider benefits beyond the service itself. For BASE, this means our work actively contributes to stronger communities by improving wellbeing, reducing isolation, building skills and confidence, and increasing meaningful participation for people who are too often excluded.
